ABOUT THE BELLBIRD TEAM

Everyone takes a personal involvement in each build. We are all build with pride and love what we do.

The team at Bellbird Construction is close-knit. We’ve proudly got a great bunch of guys and gals, both on the tools and in the office, with a good mix of more mature experienced heads and young bucks. No matter how long we’ve been swinging a hammer or putting pen to paper, each and every one of us is committed to learning from the best, and helping to improve New Zealand’s building industry.

BUILDING WITH RESPECT

At Bellbird Construction, respect is non-negotiable – towards clients, suppliers, visitors and each other.

Every project is overseen by Jonny Collett, and project managed by the office team. Site foremen take care of the day-to-day management and ensure that each site is left clean and tidy at the end of the day. We believe a tidy site shows respect for your space, and means you can be proud when you take a look at your build in progress.

QUALITY BUILDING CRAFTSMEN

Our team members are qualified, highly experienced tradesmen who’ve perfected their craft in the building industry. They pay careful attention to detail and are committed to quality work, no matter what the task. All projects are managed carefully, and overseen by experienced management team who keep an eye on quality control.

CONSTANTLY UPSKILLING

We’re constantly challenging ourselves to create homes in Canterbury that stand out from the crowd, and showcase craftsmanship. To help us achieve this, we follow tried and trusted work processes while encourage individual creativity. Everyone is encouraged to provide feedback or to speak up if we can see a better way to achieve the same result.

To make sure we play our part in improving Canterbury’s building industry, when possible, Bellbird Construction proudly judges the Registered Master Builder Apprentice of the Year Awards. It’s our way of giving back and making sure we give everyone the right building education for a better craft.

TAKING CARE OF EACH OTHER

Jonny believes a ‘happy team is a productive team’. As a family man, he appreciates that every member of the team has a life outside of building houses. Everyone is treated with consideration and shown appreciation for their work.
